Job summary

MRINetwork is seeking an Assistant Controller for a Winston-Salem-based credit union. Lead accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial statement preparation while driving process improvements and staff development.

You will work with the Controller and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial information and support strategic decisions in a complex financial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 8–10 years of progressive GL accounting experience.
• Experience leading accounting staff.
• GAAP and FASB knowledge; regulatory requirements.
• Experience in financial institutions; Sage Intacct is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and regulatory reporting processes.
• Manage complex calculations, reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Prepare financial statements and analyses for leadership.
• Develop and coach accounting staff; drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with Controller and cross-functional teams on projects.
