Truck Country is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our corporate accounting team. You will lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, manage daily operations and the monthly close, and prepare financial statements, budgets, and shareholder reports.

We value strong GAAP knowledge, leadership, and advanced Excel/Office skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Proven leadership experience with a passion for developing others.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
• Manage daily accounting operations and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and shareholder reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Review fixed assets, sales tax filings, and inventory reconciliations.
• Support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and dealership accounting teams.
• Help improve accounting systems, processes, and technology.
• Oversee company fuel card program and manager bonus calculations.
