Job summary

Dobbs Truck Group in Sumner, WA is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the corporate accounting function across GWP Holdings LLC and its operating entities. You will oversee month-end and year-end closes, consolidate financial statements, and ensure accuracy of general ledger, internal controls, and reporting to executives and lenders.

The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and audits.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with dealership systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities.
• Maintain general ledger integrity across entities and review journal entries.
• Prepare consolidated and entity-level financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and debt accounts.
• Supervise cash management, bank reconciliations, and intercompany settlements.
• Support audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and system implementations.
• Train and develop accounting staff and drive process improvements.
