LHH in Los Angeles is partnering with a leading entertainment company to recruit an experienced Assistant Controller who will oversee accounting operations, lead month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with responsibility for general ledger activities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Previous experience leading or supervising accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Manage and review month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and identify necessary adjustments.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
