Ringside Talent seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Controller and strengthen accounting operations in a hybrid role based in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Experience supporting or participating in external audits.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger and month-end close.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Help manage the annual audit process, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of internal controls across the accounting function.
• Review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work.
• Identify and help implement process improvements within the accounting function.
• Step in for the Controller on key deliverables and decisions as needed.
