Job summary

Taylor White is seeking a high-impact accounting leader to oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly close, ensure GAAP and statutory reporting accuracy, and serve as a trusted resource across compliance, audit, and operations finance. Based in Tampa, this role offers visibility, growth, and a hybrid work arrangement.

You will mentor staff, optimize internal controls, support budgeting and forecasting, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to property and casualty insurance.
• Statutory accounting and insurance-specific financial reporting experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Coordinate regulatory filings and insurance oversight submissions.
• Produce financial statements and variance analyses for leadership.
• Ensure general ledger integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and inquiries.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation activities.
