800flowerscareers seeks an Assistant Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of the GL Accounting Department, including ASC 606 revenue, AR/AP, inventory, and cost accounting for a multi-brand ecommerce/wholesale environment. You will guide technical accounting research and participate in audits, while leading a small team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in finance/accounting, at least 5 years in a manufacturing context (food industry preferred), strong ERP/Oracle proficiency, and

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment with food industry and cost accounting experience.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Oracle), advanced Excel, and GAAP knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly general accounting activities and month-end close.
• Direct posting of entries from e-commerce and wholesale brands and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Partner with managers to provide variance analysis to leadership.
• Oversee revenue process including deferred revenue, A/R and cash reconciliations.
• Oversee SOX controls for all processes and communicate variance information to execs.
• Coordinate month-end close with marketing for catalog advertising and digital marketing expenses.
