Harry and David, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the day-to-day operations of the GL Accounting Department. The role includes supervising a team, overseeing revenue under ASC 606, AR/AP, inventory/cost accounting, and intercompany activities.
You will also review GAAP pronouncements and guide implementation impacts. You will partner with department managers to communicate variance analyses, manage month-end close, and supervise SOX controls across processes.
Location: Ideally Medford, OR but open to Jericho, NY, Westerville, OH or Oak Brook, IL.
The Assistant Controller manages the day-to-day activities of the GL Accounting Department, supervising a team. The position oversees all aspects of general accounting including revenue under ASC 606, AR/AP, inventory/cost accounting, catalog & digital marketing expense, intercompany, cash reconciliations, SOX & annual audits. This position also actively reviews pending GAAP pronouncements and provides guidance on the implementation impacts from the changes in GAAP as well as other technical accounting research.
The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
