Job summary

The Quest Organization Inc seeks a skilled Controller to manage financial reporting, payroll, and accounting processes across our entities in New York. The role emphasizes advanced Excel modeling, accurate reconciliations, and clear financial communication to leadership.

You will work with QuickBooks, Bloomberg Terminal, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, audits, and lender communications.

Qualifications

• 4 year B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in Accounting or related fields.
• 5-10 years work experience as Controller or Assistant Controller
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data reconciliation, and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint to present financial analyses graphically.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online) and knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent organizational abilities; sound judgment in handling confidential financial information; and the ability to manage recurring deadlines in a collaborative, small-team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial reports including budgets, income and cash flow statements, leasing activity, rent rolls, building stack charts, and capital projects using advanced Excel models.
• Support QuickBooks day-to-day recordkeeping, reconciliations, transaction coding, monthly reporting, and bank reconciliations.
• Use Bloomberg Terminal to obtain market and securities data, update portfolio and bond reports monthly and quarterly, and prepare clear summaries.
• Manage and maintain payroll and 401K records, coordinating biweekly payroll with a third-party provider.
• Collaborate with external accountants for audits, tax filings, lender reporting, and management meetings.
• Such other and additional duties as may be assigned.
