Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) is the world’s largest network of privately owned campgrounds and the leader in outdoor hospitality.

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing accounting functions, payroll, budgeting, and coordination with auditors. This role oversees a team and collaborates with senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting across KOA and its subsidiaries.

Formación

• College degree in accounting or related business discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in accounting related field.
• Proven leadership, management and business skills.
• Focus on profitability.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Occasional travel with flexible schedule.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPA license (preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the monthly closing process to ensure timely financial reports for KOA and subsidiaries.
• Review trial balances for corporate departments, properties and entities.
• Post monthly allocations and accruals.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee external audits and prepare GAAP financial statements.
• Assist CFO with budgeting and forecasts; prepare supporting analyses.
• Coordinate with HR on payroll matters and audits.
• Manage fieldwork with external auditors for audits and fund reports.
• Prepare workpapers for auditors and review others' workpapers.
