Job summary

SCN BestCo is seeking an Assistant Controller, Corporate to lead month-end consolidation, system management and audit support, ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting for a growing U.S. manufacturer.

This role requires CPA, a Bachelor’s in finance or accounting, 8 years of experience, strong ERP/finance system skills, and proven leadership to drive process improvements and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• CPA certification.
• 8 years’ relevant professional finance experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and accounting procedures.
• Strong leadership, organization, presentation, analytical, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word).
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate multiple entities and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per US GAAP.
• Drive monthly close schedule and ensure timely consolidation and reporting of results.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and international financial regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits with necessary documentation.
• Liaise with external service providers for tax compliance activities.
• Document technical accounting issues and develop memos with Corporate Controller.
• Identify process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain integrity of financial systems as global administrator (e.g., FCCS, Hyperion).
• Manage and report corporate cost centers as assigned; perform ad-hoc analyses.
• Assist with annual insurance renewal data gathering and reporting.
• Drive and support special projects as directed.
