Job summary

thyssenkrupp seeks a senior finance leader to direct and coordinate divisional financial planning and budget management across our Michigan sites. You will benchmark performance, monitor monthly results against budgets, and develop controls to protect assets while ensuring accurate reporting.

You will prepare financial forecasts in collaboration with operational leadership, analyze data for trends, and provide updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Ability to analyze financial data, explain variances and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence operational teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage several projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement short- and long-range divisional financial goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
• Support financial and operational audits as required and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data, explain variances and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting, and product-line profitability analysis.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence operational teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

Preferred Requirements:

• CPA Designation, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or Master's in Business Administration
• Five to ten years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
