CFS is seeking an Assistant Controller in Odenton, MD to lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and drive governance and process improvements. This role supervises accounting functions and supports audits and tax schedules while partnering with executive leadership.

The position offers broad exposure to construction accounting, WIP, ASC 606, and cross-functional initiatives, with a compensation package reflecting senior-level responsibility and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA is required.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ASC 606/percentage-of-completion accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, KPI reporting, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage WIP reporting, project forecasting, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
