Job summary

Dulles Plumbing Group, a VMG Company, is seeking an Assistant Controller to support day-to-day accounting and help drive financial reporting for multiple projects in the construction sector.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and close cycles, while partnering with project managers and operations to ensure accurate project financials and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction/contracting industry experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger activity, and schedules.
• Assist with financial statements and management reporting.
• Review job costing, project financials, and WIP reporting.
• Monitor project costs, revenue, margins, billings, and other financial activity.
• Oversee accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable and payroll accounting.
