Ralph L. Wadsworth is seeking an Assistant Controller in Draper, UT to lead accounting operations, develop the team, and partner with operations to drive project performance. The role emphasizes improving processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting audits.

The candidate will oversee month-end close, revenue recognition for construction, and collaboration with project managers to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Formación

• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership.
• Construction accounting experience strongly preferred (heavy civil/infrastructure).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with SOX compliance and audit prep.
• Ability to communicate findings to leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and timely financial reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures with reconciliations.
• Support construction accounting activities including revenue recognition and job costing.
• Collaborate with project managers and operations leadership on project financials.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and applicable standards.
• Support audits, tax documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.
