Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking an Assistant Controller in the Kansas City area to join a seasoned accounting team. The role reports to the Controller and serves as a business partner to regional managers across the construction companies, handling monthly statements and job-cost reconciliation.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in public or construction accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and CPA and/or a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
• CPA and/or Master’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of public or construction accounting experience.
• Ability to establish good working relationships with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile job cost for multiple companies.
• Monitor accounting transactions and resolve issues daily.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on subcontracts and insurance matters.
• Support Controller with various accounting and financial analyses.
