Job summary

STN, Inc. in Pleasanton seeks an Assistant Controller to own the daily close, strengthen internal controls, and support external audits. This role leads accounting staff and partners with leadership on strategic finance initiatives, including 409A valuations and M&A due diligence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or public company environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Experience managing, training, or mentoring accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Assist in preparation of multi-entity consolidated financial statements.
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls; support SOX compliance.
• Lead automation and process improvement in accounting; supervise staff.
