CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Assistant Controller for our SLG Client Accounting and Advisory Service practice in Massachusetts. This role involves performing Assistant Controller functions and acting as a consultant on best practices.

The ideal candidate will have 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Massachusetts Government, and a strong knowledge of GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and Intacct is essential. We offer flexible PTO, wellness stipends, and competitive compensation of $93,000 – $152,000.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Experience in Massachusetts Government is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• MUNIX experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Assistant Controller functions as part of the client’s accounting services team.
• Act as a consultant and advisor to clients on accounting best practices.
• Provide project management expertise by managing multiple clients and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.

Skills
