Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced Accounting and Finance professional to assist with monthly and year-to-date financial reporting, the annual audit, budget, payroll, and accounts payable. The role serves as backup to the Controller and supports process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and strong knowledge of month-end close, payroll, AP, GL, fixed assets, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years recent experience in Accounting and Finance.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close and reporting, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month end close process.
• Utilize financial accounting systems including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Accounts payable system administrator
• Review payroll
• Review daily/monthly bank reconciliation
• Review policies and procedures to increase efficiency and consistency
• Reconcile business insurance
• Assist with annual audit
• Assist with annual tax return
• Assist with annual budget
• Approve ACH payments to cover department absences
• Handle confidential information including compensation
• Interact with UW and UWHCD employees as needed
• Complete external surveys as requested
• Other Accounting and Finance duties as requested

Responsibilities

• Assists with month end close process
• Utilizes financial accounting systems including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, and fixed assets

• Recommends changes to process if appropriate
• Reconciles business insurance
• Assists with annual audit

• Interacts and assists related parties (UW) and UWHCD employees when necessary
• Completes external surveys as requested
• Other Accounting and Finance duties as requested
