Job summary

Bridgestone HosePower in Florida is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the Controller by documenting, improving, and leading the month-end close process. The role requires GAAP knowledge, ERP systems experience, and the ability to coach the accounting team.

You will assist with journal entries, reconciliations, audits, and process improvements, including automation opportunities, while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent related job experience.
• CPA certification desired.
• 5 years of accounting experience with ERP systems, especially inventory modules.
• Experience preparing financial statements under GAAP.
• Experience leading accounting teams professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in directing accounting functions including journal entries for accruals and allocations, accounts payable invoice review, and expense allocations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing.
• Prepare various support for the annual audit in a timely and accurate manner, acting as liaison between the company and auditors.
• Support accounting department improvements by identifying and implementing lean processes, including automation.
• Provide guidance and leadership to accounting team members in collaboration with Controller.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent related job experience.
• CPA certification desired.
• 5 years of experience in accounting with specific experience working with ERP systems, particularly inventory modules as it pertains to accounting.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Experience leading accounting teams in a professional manner.
