Private Equity Firm and Family Office | $125K+
Our client is seeking a professional, accomplished and highly detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join a sophisticated private family office supporting three principals of an established, successful private equity firm. Reporting directly to the Head of the Family Office, this individual will play a critical role in managing the financial operations, reporting, banking, investment administration, and other business needs of the office.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a high-trust, highly confidential environment and wants exposure to a broad range of financial activities beyond traditional corporate accounting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work discreetly and independently. Growth potential available upon performance.
The Assistant Controller will serve as a key member of the team, partnering closely with the principals of the firm. This role offers significant variety and visibility, with responsibilities spanning accounting operations, financial reporting, banking and investment accounts, document review, and special projects. The successful candidate will be someone who is naturally curious, highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable operating with a high degree of trust and confidentiality. While accounting expertise is essential, equally important is the ability to understand the broader business and financial picture and anticipate what needs to happen next.
