Job summary

FrontierDevelopment, a national real estate development and investment firm, is seeking an Assistant Controller in Miami to lead day-to-day financial activity and reporting for a diversified portfolio.

The role focuses on monthly and annual financial statements, internal controls, general ledger management, and analyses at both property and portfolio levels, with budgeting involvement for development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Three to five years of accounting/finance experience in commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of the real estate industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for each operating property.
• Establish and maintain internal controls.
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger.
• Provide monthly and year-end analyses & reconciliation at property and portfolio levels.
• Assist with the budget process for all development projects.
• Research accounting issues for GAAP compliance.
• Analyze and report cost variances for recurring expenses across properties.
• Serve as liaison to external tax preparers and prepare year-end reporting packages.
