We’re partnering with a well-respected, family-oriented organization to hire a newly createdAssistant Controller positionwith a clear growth path as part of a succession plan. This is a unique chance to join a close-knit, long-tenured accounting team in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a four-year degree in Accounting or a related field, and at least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Support audits and prepare necessary documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Analyze financial data and provide management reports
• Assist with process improvements and strengthening internal controls

Assistant Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of well-rounded general accounting experience
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and collaborative
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments
