Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks an experienced Assistant Controller for a Massillon manufacturing organization. You will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, partnering with plant leadership to drive profitability.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in accounting, a strong foundation in GAAP, and experience in manufacturing or plant accounting. CPA/CMA is preferred; the role offers comprehensive benefits and bonus potential.

This position will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while partnering closely with plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities (Assistant Controller):

• Oversee daily accounting activities and support accurate, timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and management reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis to support plant performance
• Partner with plant leadership to analyze operating costs, identify trends, and recommend opportunities to improve profitability
• Maintain strong internal controls, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support financial audits

Preferred Qualifications (Assistant Controller):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of general accounting and financial reporting
• Manufacturing or plant accounting experience preferred
• CPA or CMA designation preferred
