Job summary

A staffing and consulting firm is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee daily operations and support financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA preferred, and possess 4 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience. Job description

What You’ll Do

• Support the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations across multiple locations and entities
• Play a key role in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and GAAP financial reporting
• Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and complex accounting activity
• Help maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and special financial projects
• Partner with operations and department leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support audits, tax filings, and system improvements
• Mentor and support members of the accounting team

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience (Staff Accountant -> Senior Accountant -> Accounting Manager, etc.)
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• ERP experience required (Encompass or VIP a strong plus)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or multi-entity environments a plus
