Job Description

Position: Assistant Superintendent/Field Engineer (dependent on experience) with Thomas Constructors, a General Contractor serving the Nashville, TN, and Huntsville, AL markets.

Position Details:

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources effectively for assigned projects.
3. Assist in supervising onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Maintain and update the project schedule.
6. Ensure the jobsite remains clean and safe.
7. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
8. Willing to work hard, including outside of regular hours if required.
9. This position currently does not involve travel and is based in the middle Tennessee area.

Qualifications:

1. At least 1 year of commercial construction experience in ground-up or interior finish-out/renovation projects.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Willingness to undergo training and mentoring.
4. Strong leadership qualities.
5. Negotiation skills.
6. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
