Job summary

GH Engage and a Chicago-based General Contractor invite an Assistant Project Manager to join their team for a range of commercial projects, including tenant improvements and ground-up work. The role targets an early-career PM looking to develop breadth across project phases.

The position requires commuting to the West Chicago office, with a pathway to growing into a well-rounded PM through hands-on exposure to procurement, scheduling and budget tracking.

Qualifications

• Ideally a Construction Management degree or equivalent commercial construction experience.
• Experience on commercial projects would be highly valued.
• Must be able to commute to the West Chicago office.

Responsibilities

• Support the PM through buyout, construction and closeout on live commercial projects.
• Prepare, issue and track subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.
• Manage submittals, RFIs and document control.
• Help maintain project schedules with the PM and superintendent, tracking look-aheads and procurement dates.
• Track budgets, cost reports and monthly pay applications.

This is a great option for an early-career CM grad looking to progress quickly and become a well-rounded PM.
