Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Construction to support the PM team through planning, coordination, and delivery of commercial construction projects. You will work with PMs, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and compliant with quality and safety standards.

The role requires organization, financial awareness, and growth into a full PM role, reporting to the Director of Construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in commercial construction or related fields.
• Experience coordinating multiple commercial construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of the construction lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout.
• Proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate level.
• Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalents.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar systems.
• Knowledge of Power BI or dashboard/reporting tools is a plus.
• Travel up to 5% for meetings or site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with coordination for assigned construction projects, including startup activities and milestone tracking.
• Track project schedules, documentation, purchase orders, contracts, and turnover needs with internal teams.
• Oversee accurate project records (RFIs, submittals, transmittals, shop drawings, change orders, closeout docs).
• Prepare and issue purchase orders per internal approvals.
• Support small facilities projects or work orders as needed.
• Maintain organized project files and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and capture follow-ups and decisions.
• Contribute to improving project coordination tools, workflows, and reporting practices.
