Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Construction Manager at Actalent.

This role involves managing food facility construction projects ranging from $5 million to $80 million. You will work closely with clients, architects, estimating engineers, and superintendents to oversee projects from pre-construction to closeout. The position requires extensive travel up to 100% during the initial years, as you administer, estimate, control costs, and manage high-profile food industry projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer and control project costs effectively.
• Manage high-profile food industry construction projects.
• Take projects from pre-construction through to project closeout.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and set project schedules.
• Attend construction meetings and review payment requests.
• Ensure adherence to construction project schedules.
• Manage change orders and daily logs.
• Oversee construction document management and job cost analysis.
• Execute punch list management.

Essential Skills

• Strong background in construction management and project engineering.
• Experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore or Timberline.
• Excellent skills in change order management and job cost analysis.
• Ability to adhere to project schedules and manage daily logs.
• Knowledge of safety practices and training.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience as a Project Manager on construction projects.
• Experience with food-related construction projects is advantageous.

• Ability to travel extensively for up to two years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $95,000 annually.
