Job summary

PulteGroup is seeking a Construction Manager (Entry Level) to support division projects across multiple markets. You will participate in orientation and training, learn building codes, plans, and schedules, and assist supervising daily trade partner activities on site.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to standards while developing proficiency in Pulte systems and processes. Candidates should have a university degree or equivalent experience and 0–2 years of relevant work.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand construction drawings.
  • General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes is preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy for project systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete orientation, onboarding, and training programs.
  • Develop literacy in building codes, plan reading, materials, schedules, and standards.
  • Monitor job sites and validate schedule progression.
  • Coordinate on-site inspections and ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Learn and use Pulte systems (Schedule, Dynamics 365).
  • Assist in coordinating daily trade partner activities and site cleanliness.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Complete Division and/or Construction Manager orientation, onboarding, and training programs (e.g., Pulte Construction Standards, scheduling, job site rules, safety, warranty, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
  • Develop literacy in building codes, construction and technical language, plan reading, construction materials, construction schedules, and construction methodologies and standards.
  • Assist other Construction Managers and/or direct supervisors in performing their duties and responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
  • Monitoring job sites
  • Validating schedule progression
  • Coordinating on-site inspections
  • Review and understand the Customer Care service process
  • Validating work is complete to quality standards and expectations
  • Coordinate the completion of work as directed by the manager
  • Gain knowledge and expertise in the utilization of Pulte systems and processes including, but not limited to, Schedule, Field Purchase Order, Dynamics 365.
  • Learn the steps and build proficiency in the Build Quality Experience and Customer Quality Experience.
  • Assist in scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities in accordance with job schedule and scopes of work.
  • Monitor subdivision cleanliness and hold trade partners responsible for daily clean-up.
  • Gain understanding of the Scope of Work for all trade partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Valid driver's license as driving is an essential function of this position
Physical Requirements

Position involves sitting, standing, driving, and/or movement, the ability to exert a minimal force of up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means to reach and observe all areas of the building. Ability to work in various weather conditions - heat, rain, cold, etc.
