Job summary

Graham Windham seeks an Assistant Comptroller to lead accounting, payable, and financial reporting functions within a hybrid Finance team. You will oversee the monthly close, GAAP compliance, and internal controls while supporting budgeting and grant reporting to advance the organization's mission.

The role requires strong analytical skills, governance experience, and leadership to mentor staff and collaborate with Finance leadership on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years in nonprofit or government accounting.
• Experience with budgeting, grants management, and audits.
• Proficient in GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and monthly close processes.
• Prepare and review government and regulatory reports.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Manage general ledger and asset accounting.
