Job summary

Bryten in Clearwater, FL is seeking a motivated Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in daily operations, deliver exceptional resident service, and keep accurate records.

You’ll manage resident accounts, assist with leasing, coordinate maintenance, process applications, support marketing and retention initiatives, and help ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies. This role requires strong organizational skills, a team approach, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years residential leasing or property management experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Yardi/ResMan/OneSite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist daily operations and overall performance of the community.
  • Manage resident accounts, rent collections, payments, delinquency follow-up, and notices.
  • Support leasing, occupancy, and resident retention goals with outstanding service.
  • Process applications, screenings, and assist prospective residents through leasing.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for service requests and unit turns.
  • Ensure accurate resident files and financial records; assist with renewals and moves.
  • Support marketing, resident engagement, and occupancy initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting daily operations, enhancing the resident experience, and contributing to the overall success of the community.What You'll Be DoingAs our Assistant Community Manager, you'll support the Community Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property while helping ensure exceptional service for residents, prospects, vendors, and team members. Key responsibilities include:Assisting with the daily operations and overall performance of the communityManaging resident accounts, rent collections, payment processing, delinquency follow-up, and tenant noticesSupporting leasing, occupancy, and resident retention goals through outstanding customer service and operational supportProcessing applications, conducting screenings, and assisting prospective residents throughout the leasing processCoordinating with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of service requests and apartment turnsResponding professionally and promptly to resident concerns, questions, and requestsMaintaining accurate resident files, financial records, and operational documentationAssisting with lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and resident communicationsSupporting community marketing efforts, resident engagement activities, and occupancy initiativesEnsuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and applicable lawsAssisting the Community Manager with financial reporting, property performance monitoring, and operational objectivesPerforming other duties as assignedWho You AreWe're looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for customer service while maintaining strong operational and financial accountability. The ideal candidate will have:Previous residential property management, leasing, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferredTwo or more years of residential leasing and/or property management experience preferredStrong customer service and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, prospects, vendors, and team membersExperience managing rent collections, resident accounts, and financial processes preferredExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and effectively manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skillsProfessional verbal and written communication abilitiesHigh school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business, Property Management, or a related field preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and ExcelExperience with Yardi, ResMan, OneSite, or other property management software preferredWorking knowledge of Fair Housing practices and multifamily operations preferredBilingual skills are a plus but not requiredValid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation requiredWhy You'll Love Working With UsWe believe in taking care of our team just as much as our residents.
