Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Community Manager / Leasing Consultant is a highly motivated customer service professional responsible for duties including:
- Managing collections such as application fees, rents, administrative fees, and deposits
- Filing evictions as needed
- Maintaining positive relationships and communication with residents to maximize retention
- Inspecting the community grounds and reporting service issues
- Overseeing all leasing phases from initial contact to move-in, ensuring excellent customer service
- Managing resident relations
- Inspecting the property daily to ensure timely completion of make-readies and maintenance tasks
- Monitoring marketing and leasing trends to maintain or exceed occupancy goals
- Addressing safety or liability issues promptly and reporting incidents to the corporate office

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 1 year of property management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Proven leadership and motivational skills to secure leases
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation required
- Experience with Appfolio is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
Physical Requirements:
- Approximately 60% standing or walking, 40% desk work
- Climbing stairs for inspections and showings
- Lifting up to 25 pounds; ability to open and close doors and cabinets
