Affordable Housing Assistant Manager – Full-Time

Location: Gardenview Estates,
Starting at $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Gardenview Estates is a premier affordable housing community dedicated to creating neighborhoods where everyone wants to live—and no one wants to leave. We are seeking a full-time, experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing excellent service to both current and prospective residents.

This role emphasizes leasing and resident interaction, so we're looking for someone who excels in relationship-building and thrives in a fast-paced, resident-first environment. Candidates must also be able to walk and stand for extended periods while touring the property, conducting inspections, and supporting site operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with leasing and marketing efforts to maintain high occupancy
  2. Handle walk-in traffic and conduct apartment tours
  3. Process rental applications and maintain accurate resident records
  4. Support the Community Manager in daily operations and compliance tasks
  5. Coordinate resident move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers
  6. Help ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing regulations
  7. Provide outstanding customer service and support resident retention efforts
  8. Walk the property regularly to ensure curb appeal and market-readiness of units
  9. Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in affordable housing or property management
  2. Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 programs
  3. Prior leasing experience required
  4. Proficiency in Boston Post or similar property management software
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  7. Able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the workday
  8. Team player with a customer service mindset and problem-solving attitude
