Job description

Summit Properties seeks a full-time, Assistant Community Manager for 150+ apartments in Chittenden County. The Assistant Community Manager will work as part of the Chittenden team which includes a Community Manager, and a maintenance team. Candidate will need to be able to work independently, manage time effectively, be attentive to details, and willing to tackle challenges and solve problems!

Specific duties and job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administrative:

  1. Maintaining and scanning resident files to efiles@summitpmg.com and physically filing on-site;
  2. Scanning rent checks or making bank deposits;
  3. Processing of service requests;
  4. Managing resident meal tickets process;
  5. Responding to phone calls, email & website inquiries;
  6. Working with the Community Manager to prepare the monthly management report;
  7. Filling in for the Community Manager when he/she is on vacation or sick;
  8. Assisting Community Manager with annual budgeting process;

Tenant Relations:

  1. Assisting Community Manager with tenant concerns and issues;
  2. Assisting residents with Evergreen issues;
  3. Assisting in planning and execution of resident events;
  4. Working with the Community Manager to create monthly resident newsletter;
  5. Updating digital resident communications.

Leasing:

  1. Maintaining waitlist, prospects, turnovers, etc. for your community;
  2. Sending out all marketing and leasing packets to prospects;
  3. Communicating with all prospects and working with them through the leasing process;
  4. Working with Compliance to ensure affordable housing compliance;
  5. Assisting with initial leases and lease renewals;
  6. Assisting with preparation and implementation of marketing plan;
  7. Helping with community tours every Wednesday and by appointment;
  8. Executing any other tasks related to the operations and objectives of the Community that the Company reasonably asks you to perform.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in property management
  • Leasing and Affordable housing programs (LIHTC) experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Experience in MRI or other real estate software is preferred

Salary is commensurate with experience.
