Job summary

CAPREIT is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for The Simone Apartments in Silver Spring, MD, to support leasing, resident relations, and daily operations during a lease-up phase.

You will help guide prospects through the leasing process, coordinate tours, and assist with move-ins/move-outs while ensuring compliance with LIHTC and affordable housing guidelines. The role involves teamwork with property operations to deliver an exceptional resident experience.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry.
  • Affordable Housing (LIHTC) experience required.
  • Lease-Up experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with ability to operate a company vehicle and/or golf cart.
  • Experience with property management software such as RealPage, OneSite, or Yardi, or ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and current technology platforms.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements and General Ledgers.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and future residents by guiding prospects through the leasing process and conducting community tours.
  • Prepare leasing documents and assist with move-ins and move-outs to ensure positive resident experiences.
  • Support the leasing team in achieving occupancy goals and maximizing revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with affordable housing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Service Team to ensure timely maintenance and a clean, safe community.

Responsibilities
Make a Difference Every Day

Provide exceptional customer service to current and future residents by helping individuals and families find a place they are proud to call home. You'll guide prospects through the leasing process, conduct community tours, prepare leasing documents, assist with move-ins and move-outs, and create positive resident experiences through clear communication, community engagement, and outstanding service.

Help Build a Thriving Community

Partner with the Community Manager to support the successful lease-up and ongoing operations of the community. You'll assist in achieving occupancy goals, maximizing revenue, managing rent collection, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing requirements while helping create a welcoming and vibrant community for residents.

Be Part of the Team Behind the Scenes

Work closely with the Service Team to ensure maintenance requests are handled efficiently and that the community remains clean, safe, and well-maintained. Together, you'll help create a community residents are proud to call home from day one.
