Role Overview

The Assistant Community Manager oversees daily operations and financial functions under the supervision of the Community Manager. Key responsibilities include managing rent collections, maintaining property standards, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Management
  • Post all payments and income accurately and timely.
  • Process and reconcile account receivables daily.
  • Follow up on bad debts, prepare late notices, and assist with evictions.
  • Help meet budgeted revenues and expenses.
  • Post charges, bill back utilities, and perform end-of-month closing.
  • Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
  • Manage move-out charges, security deposits, and refunds.
Personnel Management
  • Attend onsite daily.
  • Screen, hire, train, and develop staff using consistent techniques.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support.
  • Ensure staff compliance with policies.
  • Implement leasing strategies and marketing plans.
  • Address resident concerns and develop retention programs.
  • Show, lease, and facilitate move-ins.
Administrative Management
  • Ensure excellent customer service and timely maintenance responses.
  • Maintain property appearance and oversee repairs.
  • Supervise business functions and manage resources effectively.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred, or related experience.
  • Proficiency in onsite software and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, move, and operate equipment as needed, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Work in various environments, including outdoor conditions and confined spaces.
  • Availability for overtime, weekends, and emergency hours.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $17 - $23 per hour. Our comprehensive package includes health benefits, 401K with matching, bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
