Job summary

Allied Orion Group is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to aid the Community Manager in the full management of a multi-family property. You will oversee leasing, marketing, and resident relations, while supporting financials, reporting, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities include processing payments, handling delinquencies, evictions, and ensuring compliance with policies. This role requires coordinating with the Community Manager and regional leadership to maintain property performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: One year of experience in multi-family property management.
  • Certifications (preferred): NALP, COS, TCS, HQS, UPCS, LIHTC training.
  • Skills: Leasing, accounting, marketing, customer service; supervisory abilities; strong communication.
  • Knowledge: Fair Housing Laws, OSHA, EEOC, local/state ordinances.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager in overall property management, including leasing, marketing, and resident relations.
  • Process payments and track delinquencies; apply late charges and send notices.
  • Handle NSF/returned checks and collections per policy.
  • Process evictions and finalize account statements; close-out files to agencies within 30 days of move-out.
  • Perform duties of Property Manager in supervisor's absence; supervise onsite staff.

Overview

The Assistant Community Manager serves as the strength and support of the property by assisting the Community Manager in administering and supervising the overall management of the property. The role includes all functions related to multi‑family property leasing, marketing, and resident relations.

Job Summary

Assists the Community Manager with the overall management of the property, including financial and accounting aspects. Reports to the Community Manager, Regional Property Supervisor, and/or Regional Vice President. Supervises the entire onsite staff during the Community Manager’s absence.

Responsibilities
  • Use the approved lease and credit reporting application.
  • Process payments in accordance with company policy.
  • Track late payments, apply late charges, and send late notices.
  • Handle NSF/returned checks.
  • Follow up on delinquencies and complete collections by the established close‑out date.
  • Process all evictions and proceed through the judicial system in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete final account statements.
  • Send all collection files to the appropriate agency within thirty (30) days of move‑out.
  • Assume the Property Manager’s duties and authority in the absence of the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform all functions related to multi‑family property leasing, marketing, and resident relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year of experience in multi‑family property management.
  • Certifications (preferred): National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), Housing Quality Standards (HQS), Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS), LIHTC training.
  • Skills: Background in leasing, accounting, marketing, and customer service; supervisory skills to manage a team; reading, writing, and communication abilities; proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office; basic mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge: Fair Housing Laws, OSHA requirements, EEOC laws, and local, city, and state ordinances.
