S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for Unity Homes at Ballston in the Arlington, Virginia area.

The role supports the Community Manager and manages on-site staff, with a focus on leasing, resident relations, and daily property operations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience in a customer service setting, and a valid driver's license. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• May be supplemented by prior supervisory experience in a customer service environment.
• Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).
• Advanced college coursework in management, public relations, or accounting preferred.
• At least two years of property management experience in a customer service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Show the property to prospective residents and prepare lease packets.
• Run credit reports and inspect properties after move-outs and prior to move-ins.
• Assist in leasing the property and strive for quality residency.
• Respond to telephone requests from residents and the public.
• Coordinate payroll administrative tasks with Payroll Department.
• Track traffic through the property and coordinate maintenance requests.
• Work to retain residents through positive relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARYOFPOSITION:

Performs a variety of administrative duties related to the overall management of the property and assumes supervisory authority when the Community Manager is away from the property. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.

PRIMARYDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

• AbidesbyFairHousingLaws.
• Performsalltasksrelatingtoleasingtheproperty,suchas:
  • Showing the property to prospective residents, preparing lease packets, run credit reports, inspects properties after “move-outs” and prior to “move-ins.”
• Activelyparticipatesintheleasingofthepropertywhilestrivingforqualityresidency.
• Respondstotelephonerequestsfromresidentsandthepublic.
• HandlespayrolladministrationaligningwithPayrollDepartment.
• Trackstrafficthroughtheproperty
• CoordinatesmaintenancerequestswiththeMaintenanceSupervisor
• Aggressivelyworkonresidentretentionthroughpositiveresidentrelationships.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Attend meetings on behalf of the Community Manager.

POSITIONREQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
