Job summary

Silver Tree Residential, LLC in Montgomery, AL, is seeking an Assistant Community Director for a senior community. You will oversee property operations, assist with leases, and manage staff under the Community Director to ensure safety, quality housing, and compliance with HUD guidelines.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, excellent communication, and at least 3 years of experience in affordable housing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in property management or affordable housing.
• Experience with HUD guidelines and compliance.
• Experience with property management software (OneSite or RealPage is a plus).
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Community Director, assume responsibility for all phases of operation of the property, including administration and maintenance of the asset.
• Assist in preparation of leases and management forms; review and process applications, verification, move-in, and recertification.
• Post collections to the property management system and monitor data entry.
• Assist in hiring, managing and training staff.
• Negotiate contracts with outside vendors to benefit the property.
• Manage HUD compliance at all levels of operation.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Under the direction of the Community Director, assume responsibility for all phases of operation of the property, including but not limited to the general administration and maintenance of the physical asset.
• Assist in preparation of leases and other management forms. Properly review and process all applications for residency, verification, move-in, and re-certification.
• Post collections to the computerized property management system and monitor it with up to date data entry.
• Assist in hiring, managing and training the best quality staff.
• Effectively negotiate contracts with outside vendors to the property’s best interest.
• Manage HUD compliance at all levels of the property’s operation.

Qualified Candidates Will Have

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in an affordable community with knowledge of current HUD guidelines
• Experience in OneSite and RealPage software is a plus
• Accomplished interpersonal skills; capable of dealing effectively with employees, residents, vendors and co-workers
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and customer service skills
