Job summary

The Carroll County Commonwealth Attorney's Office seeks an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney to prosecute cases and support the Prosecutor's Office in Hillsville, Virginia.

This role requires a Bachelor's and Law Degree, a Virginia Bar License, and the ability to handle cases across General District, Circuit, and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts. Strong public speaking and independent decision making are essential; 3+ years of prosecutorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prosecute cases primarily at General District Court and Circuit Court; Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court levels.
• Attend meetings and provide staff advice to the Commonwealth's Attorney; perform public addresses as needed.
• Manage resources and carry out duties to support the Commonwealth Attorney's Office.
