Job summary

Vassar College seeks an Assistant Men’s & Women’s Squash Coach (40 weeks) to join the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. This part-time, non-benefit eligible role requires weekend, holiday, early morning, and late evening hours, with 40 weeks distributed across the year by mutual agreement with the supervisor.

The incumbent will assist the Head Coach with practice and game planning, player development, recruitment, and coordinating team activities, equipment, and travel.

Qualifications

• Coaching or playing experience at the collegiate, high school, or club level.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of constituents.
• A valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Successful result of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with practice and game planning, on-court instruction, scouting, video exchange.
• Develop players and teams through film analysis, performance tech management, and academic monitoring.
• Handle recruitment correspondence and on-campus visits.
• Engage in team activities including alumni outreach, fundraising, and community service.
• Manage equipment and reconcile equipment expenses.
• Coordinate team travel and reconcile travel expenses.
