Job summary

Vassar College seeks a part-time Assistant Men’s & Women’s Squash Coach (40 weeks) within the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. The role requires weekend, holiday, early morning, and late evening hours distributed across the year by mutual agreement with the supervisor.

Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach with practice plans, on-court instruction, player development, recruitment visits, alumni engagement, equipment management, and travel arrangements.

Qualifications

• Coaching or playing experience at the collegiate, high school, or club level.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of constituents.
• A valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Successful result of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Sport Coach with practice and game planning, and on-court instruction.
• Lead player development including film analysis and analytics, and academic monitoring.
• Coordinate recruitment correspondence and on-campus visits.
• Organize team activities such as alumni engagement, fundraising and community-service events.
• Manage equipment and reconcile expenses.
• Arrange travel for team and reconcile travel expenses.
