Job Summary:
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Cleveland State University invites applications for two (2) Assistant College Lecturer positions starting August 18, 2025. These are renewable, non-tenure-track positions.
Assistant College Lecturers may be assigned up to 15 credits of teaching and service work per semester (typically four courses per semester). Service includes active participation in the department and potential engagement in other University activities. Teaching responsibilities include teaching undergraduate classes in mathematics and statistics. The department has particular needs in developmental and co-requisite courses, quantitative literacy, pre-calculus, calculus, and introductory statistics. These courses are taught in a coordinated format.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a minor, B.S., B.A., and M.S. degrees in Mathematics, a minor and M.S. in Statistics, and an Integrated B.A. in Mathematics and Economics. The department consists of 22.5 full-time faculty, which includes five lecturers and two professors of practice.
