Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant Coach, Strength and Conditioning to design and implement sport-specific programs, supervise the varsity weight room, and coordinate with coaches and athletic trainers.
You will work to maximize athletic performance, reduce injury risk, and stay current with NCAA rules and compliance while using data-driven approaches to training. Early mornings and evenings are required, with some travel.
Position Title: Assistant Coach, Strength & Conditioning Time Type: Full time
This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for High Performance/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities include the training and motivation of student-athletes to maximize their potential for athletic performance and injury prevention. The Assistant Coach, Strength and Conditioning will, in conjunction with coaches and athletic trainers, organize and design conditioning, strength, power, speed, agility and flexibility programs for assigned sports, maintain safety, hygiene, and efficiency of the varsity weight room, and create, supervise, and schedule team workouts.
The estimated pay range for this position is $40,000-$43,403. Offered salary will be commensurate with work experience and educational background.
