Job summary

Midland University in Fremont, NE is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Coach for Powerlifting to support the head coach in developing athletes' skills and fostering team spirit. You will help plan training sessions, provide guidance to student-athletes, and assist with competition preparation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, PE, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years coaching experience at collegiate or high school level.
  • Experience in developing training programs for student-athletes.
  • Experience in recruiting and retaining student-athletes desirable.
  • Strong understanding of sport rules and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically.
  • Proficient with sports-related technology and training software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Commitment to an inclusive team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach in planning and conducting training sessions for the team.
