Williams College, a Division III institution and member of the New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC), is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Coach of Women's Soccer. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 10-month position with a full meal plan and a benefit package spread over 12 months, and also provides full tuition-remission of graduate school after six months of employment.
Williams women's soccer has consistently been one of the premier soccer programs in the nation, having won national titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018. The program has won eight NESCAC Championships and has finished ranked in the Top 25 on 19 separate occasions. In addition to competing on the national level, the program prides itself on more than just the success on the field. A vital pillar of the team is its emphasis on fostering a positive competitive environment and building a diverse and inclusive community. Responsibilities:- Assisting the head coach in the planning and execution of practices and skill development in both the fall competitive season and the spring developmental season
- Managing the recruiting database
- Assisting with the identification and recruitment of qualified student athletes who can succeed in the challenging academic environment at Williams
- Scheduling and travel
- Assist with video analysis, game breakdown and opponent scouting
- Working at Williams camps and clinics
- Goalkeeper practices and development
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Collegiate playing and/or 2-5 years of coaching experience
- Experience coaching girls' or women's soccer preferred
- Goalkeeper coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of NESCAC and NCAA Division III policies and ability to abide by these
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively required
- Valid Driver's license. Successful completion of Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check is also a condition of employment in order to be able to drive college vehicles and/or transport students.
Application review will begin on May 13,2025, and will continue until the position is filled. Pay range is from $36,000 to $45,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a full meal plan and year-round benefits.
