Job Title: Assistant Coach - Men's and Women's Swimming

The Xavier University Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Men's and Women's Swimming program. The Department sponsors 19 sports with over 330 student-athletes and is a member of the Big East Conference.

Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and guidance to foster a positive and competitive environment.
2. Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including budgeting, equipment management, scheduling, team travel, promotion, fundraising, alumni events, practice planning, and compliance with BIG EAST and NCAA rules.
3. Meet regularly with support personnel to ensure student-athlete eligibility and well-being.
4. Mentor student-athletes to promote athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth.
5. Assist with practice planning, skill development, team travel, equipment inventory, and visiting team coordination.
6. Coordinate with university personnel, compile statistical data, supervise student managers, and organize community service activities.
7. Represent the Head Coach at intercollegiate, alumni, and university events.
8. Participate in fundraising activities and handle media requests as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1-3 years of relevant coaching or sport-related experience.
