The University of Arizona invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Men’s and Women’s Swimming. The position reports to the Head Coach, Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving and acts within the rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and NCAA.

This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist head coach and associate head coach with facilitating the academic and athletic development of every soccer student-athlete.
  • Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Conference and the NCAA.
  • Train non-travel team when not on travel status.
  • Implement individual development plans (IDP’s).
  • Coaching student-athletes at all practices and games.
  • Work cooperatively and provide positive energy as a member of the staff.
  • Recruit qualified student-athletes.
  • Coordinate and advance recruiting, alumni, and community relations.
  • Perform video analysis and opponent scouting.
  • Work closely with the compliance office to assure the program follows University, Conference and NCAA regulations.
  • Budget Accountability.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Competitive playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate, club, or professional level.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy .
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree.
  • One year of coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level.
  • Coaching certifications from relevant governing bodies (e.g., ASCA, USA Swimming).
