The successful applicant will assist the Track and Field or Cross Country program within the rules and regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, and the NCAA.

This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implementation of training programs for field, cross country, and/or events.
  • Recruiting both women and men’s student-athletes, including evaluating and communicating with recruits.
  • Assist in arranging campus and home visits.
  • Work with Compliance office.
  • Coaching student-athletes at meets.
  • Academic monitoring of student-athletes.
  • Administrative duties.
  • Home Meet Management duties.
  • Assisting with Team Travel.
  • Adhere to department or unit budget.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Complete knowledge of NCAA rules pertaining to recruitment & eligibility.
  • Commitment to academic and athletic success.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Coaching and/or playing experience at the college or international level.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy .
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree,
  • Coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level.
  • Two years of coaching experience at the collegiate Division 1 level.
  • Experience coaching male and female athletes.
